Music technology is an integral aspect of Carolyn Bremer's work as a composer, educator, and artist. Her philosophy demands fluency on each application in order to overcome the tendency toward the technology guiding the craft rather than the craft guiding the technology.

She has composed pieces in many media using several software and hardware platforms which represent the three main areas of computer-music applications: notation, sequencing, and digital audio.

Fluent on Macintosh computers in the following applications:
     Finale
     Logic
     Final Cut Pro, Motion, LiveType
     Flash

Courses taught:
     Finale and COntemporary Notation
     sound design
     digital audio

Students are encouraged to explore nontraditional source sounds via MIDI, sequencing, or other computer applications.
